chill_coach Hands down, one of the most inspirational albums I have ever heard. Chaka's self-reflective lyrics mirror what was so moving about 80s and 90s conscious hip-hop. Coupled with the bands innovative and lyrical composition, Burn was only ever rivaled by 108 for most unique, artistic, and original hardcore, without sacrificing some of the brutality that is at the core of hardcore. I have never been so excited to buy a single record. Favorite track: …Shall Be Judged.

tall trees I now own this ep on vinyl, cd, and digital. As I've explored different musical genres over the years I've often returned to these songs. They still feel fresh and unique, and, to my ears, this record holds up much better than some of its contemporaries.

BURN blended styles effortlessly, and while there's an expected NYHC/straightedge/youthcrew vibe here, there's also mid-paced rawness and some straight up metallic/psychedelic atmosphere. Favorite track: …Shall Be Judged.

While I have to admit this full-length as a whole doesn't quite stand up as high in comparison to Burn's excessively amazing EP's, there are a shit-ton of other hardcore bands whose entire oeuvre come nowhere CLOSE to this level of sharp, soul-ripping awesomeness. Burn has been a staple in my rotations for decades and their standing with me is always, all ways, skyhigh. Richard Weems
